Sometimes, all we need is an extra set of hands.
And for loved ones, the peace of mind that comes from knowing you're not alone.
At White Oak, you are family. Whether you're looking for someone to talk to over a cup of tea, someone to help clean up around the house, or help you shower and dress in the morning, White Oak is here for you.
As often as you like or as a once-off, Government funded or not, White Oak can support you with day-to-day activities so you can do the things you want to do.
Want to go to the movies with your daughter? Let us help get you there by:
- Cleaning, vacuuming and tidying up
- Preparing a meal with you
- Hanging out and / or bringing in your washing
- Helping you shower and dress
- Reminding you to take your medications
- Mowing your lawn
You can have a White Oak helper for 30 minutes or a full day and / or night, in an ad hoc way or as part of a structured 'care plan'. At White Oak, we look at finding you the most cost effective solutions; Government subsidised or funded options (e.g. Home Care Packages, Veterans Home Care, or brokering to other CHSP providers), standard fee-paying help, or we'll look at a combination - ensuring you're getting the services you and your family would like, in the most affordable way.
Here is a closer look at how we customise our services to what you want, each and every time we are in your home.
An important daily task many of our clients ask for is assistance with showering; this can mean different things to different people.
You might like to have a support worker with you while you shower in case you slip or fall, but you're not comfortable to have someone in the bathroom with you? That's completely understandable and not uncommon. Instead, a White Oak support worker can be in the home - possibly making your breakfast or setting out your clothes while you shower - they're there to give you the peace of mind you and your loved ones may want, while respecting your privacy and dignity.
