We all know how important it is to continue with our personal preferences of maintaining hygiene and grooming to feel good about ourselves. It can sometimes be difficult to ask for help with these very personal tasks. That is why our staff are so good at what they do. They are sensitive and compassionate well trained and always ready to assist or encourage in every situation.
The care plan developed by the Registered Nurse when you are first admitted will guide the staff in the care that you require. The support staff will help with showering dressing and grooming, make sure that you have adequate nutrition and hydration to support a healthy lifestyle and they will help you with managing your medications from a blister pack.
White Oak staff are deemed competent annually in Manutention (mobility, hoist transfers and pressure management) and can assist clients with complex care needs. Additional services such as collecting medication from the pharmacy or arranging scripts from the GP can be part of the service. Remember should your health improve and your level of independence increases the staff will be delighted to reduce or cease the service depending on what you need .
